Stream Diversion for Water Retention,
Page 3 | |
Once water begins to flow into the AquaDam®, head pressure begins to build inside it. To contain the head pressure and therefore make sure that the AquaDam® makes a tight seal with the ground, a rope is run under and the back over the end of the AquaDam®. As the head pressure becomes greater, the rope is allowed to slowly slip out and extend the AquaDam® a few more feet. Then the rope is held again until more head pressure is formed and the AquaDam® can be slipped another couple of feet. |
| This picture is for comparison with the one at the bottom of this page. Please note the amount of water relative to the height of the AquaDam®. |
| As the AquaDam® is rolled out, any rocks that have not already been picked out of it's path are removed now. |
| As you can see, the depth of the water behind the AquaDam® has increased greatly already. |
