In deep water, the jet ski was indispensable and the AquaDams® could be moved into position much faster. The alternative is to tie a rope around the AquaDam®, and pull it through the water manually from the shore or the top of an installed AquaDam®.

While standing on the top of an AquaDam®, another is partially unrolled so that the fill tubes can be taped up. This makes it easier to insert them through the holes in the collars during coupling. This AquaDam® will be floated to the end and attached, using a coupling collar, to the AquaDam® the workers are standing on.

AquaDams® have been started from two opposite banks and will meet in the middle of the lake to make a continuous wall of water-filled cofferdam, and divide the lake in half. Notice the light house tower in the upper right-hand corner of the picture.

5' AquaDams® were used to back up the 6' and 8' AquaDams®. Notice the closed end on the white AquaDam®. It was designed so other AquaDams® could be attached from both ends. This is sometimes referred to as a "plug". This makes it unnecessary to start the AquaDam® on a bank.
