After the first AquaDam® was inflated, the pumps were moved out onto it
so that the next connected segment could be pumped up. It took a total of
14 individual 100' lengths of AquaDam® to complete the crossing. The next
three AquaDams to be installed are still rolled up and can be seen floating
in the water.
Since this part of Texas was in a severe drought, the lake had no flow to speak of.
The AquaDams® installed easily because there was no current to push them off course.
The only consideration was wind, but if an AquaDam® drifted off, the jet
ski was used to push it back into place.
