Lake Sediment Removal in
Woodlawn Lake, San Antonio, TX

Part 1, Page 4:

In shallow water, it was possible to stand up inside the attachment collar. This made the coupling process easier. The plastic fill tubes are tied with small diameter rope. This prevented water from building up inside the tubes, becoming too heavy, and pulling the plastic down off the top and over the side, allowing water to spill out.

This is a view from the black 6' AquaDams, looking across the shallow water into the end of four 100' long 8' high AquaDams connected together. These were placed through the deepest water, but due to the elevation rise in the bottom of the lake, the water is now only waist deep and th3 workers can stand while attaching the next AquaDam.

The AquaDams have 130' left to go before making a connection in the middle of the lake. Backups were than installed alongside the larger AquaDams to provide support against sliding on the muddy, slippery lake bottom.
