This is the end of the second AquaDam® abutting into the shore line. It
simply stops unrolling when it reaches a high enough point on the bank.
Of course the water is very shallow here. At the other end, in the middle
of river, the water depth is approximately 6' deep.
This picture was taken from the bridge upstream, looking downstream at the
cofferdam diversion of the river. Water recreational vehicles were allowed
during the project, as you can see here on the right. Boat waves were a
concern so a 5 MPH sign was posted (which most people ignored).
During the placement of large rocks (rip-rap) the work area was isolated for
water-quality reasons. The clients (Oregon Dept. of Transportation)
did not want to see a plume of dirty water leave the project site. The
cofferdam was successful in isolating dirty water within the work
area. The whole river current was forced to the opposite side.
