AquaDams® were used to divert the Rogue River for boat ramp construction.

Dewatering the worksite was not a requirement. Large concrete slabs were to be placed to make the ramp. However, the fast-moving river had to be diverted so that the excavator could remove the river bank and place the underlining gravel for the concrete slabs.

Over half of the river had to be diverted to the opposite side of the channel. You can see the 4 ropes used to help install the AquaDam®. The white water at the end of the AquaDam is caused by the fast-moving current of the river.
