AquaDam® Removal Rogue River, Grants Pass, OR (2003)

The AquaDam®s were in place for approximately 30 days. The slab was pored
concrete until it reached the water line. Then multiple large slabs were placed
below the water line. This was why no dewatering had to take place during this project.
Large rip-rap (rocks) were placed on the upstream side of the concrete slab boat ramp.
Smaller rocks were placed on the downstream side. During high flows in the winter
this will protect the concrete slab from washing out.
Another view of the new boat ramp. This backhoe equipment will help us in removing the AquaDams®.
