This AquaDam® was damaged by vandals. Since the work area needed to stay dewatered while a new unit was installed, the new AquaDam® was simply inflated over the top of the damaged dam.

There is really no telling what was used to create these holes, but the pattern is definitely distinctive. Fortunately, the holes were in the top of the AquaDam®. Had they been in the side of the dam, the water would have drained out before the replacement dam arrived.

The contractor was able to call and arrange for AquaDams® to deliver a new dam and assist in the reinstallation. A small hole was cut in the far end of the first unit, and the next was started up the bank so as it rolled out it would force water out of the damaged dam.

Slow and steady was the name of the game. Care was taken to ensure that the newly installed unit would fit in exactly the same place as the first so that the work area would remain dewatered.
