Step 6: The Aquadam® has been installed across pipes and stream from bank to bank, making a 99% seal. Some seepage will occur, especially on big cobble like that shown in the picture to the right. Water is still being pumped into the Aquadam® to force it to grow to its optimal height, which in this case is three feet. 

Step 7: The unused portion of Aquadam® left on the roll is tied off to the bank using a rope, keeping it from falling off the bank and unrolling. The Aquadam® is inflated to its optimal height. The pumping time for phase 1 is 33 minutes.
