| Ropes stop the AquaDam® from rolling out prematurely. A water head, which is higher than the surrounding river water, needs to be maintained inside the AquaDam®. This allows you to maintain control during the installation. |

| The AquaDam® is being let out slowly using the ropes. Again, the idea is to let it out in a controlled manner, no faster than the pumps will allow. It takes 60,000 gallons of water to fill an AquaDam® of this size. |
