Once buoyant, the fill tubes of the back-up AquaDam® are pushed off the bank to allow it to drain freely. 

Two pumps are used to deflate the larger AquaDam®.

Now neither AquaDam® has any internal pressure because the water that was inside has been pumped out. They are merely floating plastic tubes with water inside and can now be easily removed. This is only possible because this project was in standing lake water instead of a moving current.

It was decided that a small boat would be used to pull the fill tubes of the larger AquaDam® off the bank. This allowed even more water to be released out of the tubes.
