Notice how close the edge of the boat ramp comes to the back-up AquaDam®. This is why the AquaDam® had to be pulled with the yacht earlier in the installation.

This pole is 10 feet long...

...and the water depth here is over 8 feet. The AquaDam® is approximately 12' high and contains over 200,000 gallons of water.

Once the concrete is finished, one extra day is allowed to let it set. Water is then pumped back into the work area until the water level on both sides is equal, and the back-up dam becomes buoyant.
