Stream Diversion Phase One Antelope Creek Lincoln, CA (2000)
Before diversion begins, a proper site must be selected. Fill material excavated
earlier from the canal made perfect banks to start the AquaDams® on.
The contractor was required to line the sides and bottom of the diversion
channel to prevent erosion. This is the upstream AquaDam® which is 4' x 50'.
The protective cover and ropes are removed. The open end is placed
higher up the bank than the estimated height of the AquaDam®. Workers
need to be careful not to let the current carry the AquaDam® downstream.
