Because of heavy rainfall, the City of Sacramento Public Works Department needed a quick secondary containment dam to block off a canal so that a boil under Pump Station #2 could be worked on. The boil had a high potential of eroding out the entire levy because of the recent high flows in the Sacramento River.

A 6' x 143' AquaDam® was used to block off the canal, which serves as drainage for the greater part of South Sacramento. The AquaDam® has been installed and is being filled with water from the canal.

The AquaDam® was started well up the bank to ensure that it could be filled to its maximum capacity.
