We also installed a 6' high AquaDam® behind the 8' high AquaDam® (which was backing up the main 10' high AquaDam). The work site was now ready for dewatering.

A pump was set up to move the water out of the work site. Notice how the AquaDams® fit closely next to each another. Each one provides support to the one pushing on it. All the fish had to be saved to be put back into the lake. This was accomplished by a group of local school children that caught them with nets.

We now had a dewatered work area. Notice the man in the middle of the pond, next to the suction hose attached to the pump.

This cofferdam failed after a piece of equipment put a large hole into one of the AquaDams®. The equipment operator was trying to stop leakage underneath the AquaDam® and accidentally swung the backhoe bucket into it. This created a domino effect and within minutes all three AquaDams® moved out of place and failed. We went back later to install bigger AquaDams®.
