The sailboats are owned by retired Navy personnel. Using an AquaDam®, very little noise was created. Sheet piling ia very noisy (BANG BANG BANG) and expensive. Reportedly, the sheet piling "twisted like pretzels" under the tremendous water pressure.

Since some of the owners live on their boats, special super-quiet insulated pumps were used to keep noise levels to a minimum.
