The end of this dam did not fully expand because the collar was accidentally pulled off and was not put back on correctly. The rest of the AquaDam® fits like a glove, lending support to two of the attachment points on the 8' high unit.

The next backup AquaDam® is pulled across through the broken ice.

The workers try a sledgehammer. Aqua Dam & Diversion of Canada has lots of experience with installing AquaDams® in ice. They later told us that a chainsaw can be used to cut off large slabs of ice all at once, and that the slabs can then be pushed back under the ice sheet

The second backup AquaDam® is 5' x 200'. The sides have been folded in, so when it is installed against the main unit it will expand against it and fit like a glove. This will give the 8' AquaDams® tremendous support.
