Notice that the fill tubes of the first AquaDam® are securely tied off. This was because the vertical walls of the lake banks gave it nothing to lean against while it filled. When completely filled, it supports itself, but ropes are still necessary should the water level rise unexpectedly.

On all of our projects we notice that the local wildlife seem to enjoy the AquaDams®. This large frog thought the folds of one of the fill tubes would be an ideal place to spend the night.

To help protect the fill tubes of the first AquaDam®, the tubes are rolled up and folded back into the outer tube.
