The City of New York's Parks and Recreation Department needed to dewater Kissena Lake in Queens in order to do naturalization work. Since they also needed to avoid killing aquatic life, they used AquaDams® to divide the lake in half and dewater one portion at a time.  

A string line was erected across the lake to provide a visual guide for the installation crew. 

The first AquaDam® and the pumps are put in place.

The AquaDam® is started well up the bank to ensure that it will be able to fill completely.
