This is the same 5' high AquaDam® that was put out over the top of the larger unit before it was installed. The end did not fully expand because the collar was accidentally pulled off, and was not put back on correctly. The rest of the AquaDam® fits like a glove, lending support to two of the attachment points on the 8' high unit. |

The next backup AquaDam® is pulled across through the broken ice. |

Deciding that the crowbar was ineffective, the workers decide to try a sledgehammer. Aqua Dam & Diversion of Canada has lots of experience with installing AquaDams® in ice. They later told us that a chainsaw can be used to cut off large slabs of ice at one, and that the can then be pushed back under the ice sheet |

The second backup AquaDam® is 5' high x 200' long. The sides have been folded in, so when it is installed against the main unit it will expand against it and fit like a glove. This will give the 8' AquaDams® tremendous support.
