As the project area is dewatered, it becomes apparent where the drain is located.

The water depth was much greater than the original 5' estimate, and it was actually closer to 9'. This particular AquaDam® (maximum safe water depth containment: 6') was beyond its maximum. As the water pressure became more uneven, the dam started to move laterally into the dewatered work area.

The solution was to move the AquaDam® closer to the work area where the water depth was shallower. The fill tubes were pulled off the bank and the water was allowed to drain out of the AquaDam®.

The drain actually had quite a bit of aquatic life in it.
