AquaDams® to the rescue! A tidal drainage culvert was in need of repair. It was leaking badly into the adjacent pasture lands. AquaDams® were used to plug the inside of the culvert so that high tidal water could not pass. The tidal gate on the opposite side of the levee needed to replaced.

This is a picture of a 20' long x 4' high AquaDam®. This allowed the AquaDam® to extend at least 15 feet inside the culvert, plugging it off.

Repairs of the opposite side of the culvert could begin. The work could not be completed in one single low-tide event.

During high tide the culvert is sealed off by the AquaDam® plug.
